Nian Li (Nathan Lee)
Chinese fashion photographer based in London and Shanghai. I am currently studying MA Commercial Photography at London College of Communication (UAL) and hold a BFA in Photography from Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts.
I have a wealth of industry experience and my love of film, photography and art has exposed me to a wide range of visual and storytelling skills. Using photography as a means of self-expression, I create works based on personal, emotional experiences. I take an imaginative approch to colour to produce filmic, dreamlike moments.
I am dedicated to honing my photography skills and remaining at the forefront of new technologies. I am currently exploring ways in which 3D modelling and digital synthesis can be used to create compelling photographic works. At the same time, I am creating works that combine classical painting aesthetics with cultural integration, which is reflected in my photography.
My photographs have been widely exhibited.
